What does compostability mean?
Compostable films are designed to biodegrade under specific conditions without leaving behind microplastics. There are two main types:

Home-compostable films: These films break down at the lower temperatures and conditions found in home composters, but require a longer period of time to fully decompose.

Industrially compostable films: These require the controlled environment of industrial composting facilities—such as higher temperatures, moisture, and regular turning—to decompose within a defined timeframe.

Material composition: The films are made from biodegradable plastics, often containing a portion of PLA (polylactic acid), which is derived from renewable resources like corn.
